  1. I don't think there is any secret, at least I sure havn't found one. You just have to post as often as you can, or when you have something you want to share. Joining various parties is a good way for more people to find your blog so they can follow, it really spreads your post out across as wide an audience as possible. Otherwise, it just takes time. Some days I have more time to comment and browse and other days I don't. I think each of us just have to find the mix that works for us. Good luck. Hugs, Marty

  2. One thing that will definitely help is to turn off the word verification on your comments. It take a second step and is something that a lot of bloggers just won't do, so they won't follow you. It really isn't necessary to have it. There are plenty of built-in spam filters, so just turn it off and give it a try. Hugs, Marty

  3. Ditto what Marty said!!

Also, just an observation, you can have 1,000 followers but it doesn't mean they are all reading you every time you post and/or will they leave you comments . . .

  6. Hi Sandy,

Thanks for following me...I am following you too now!

I don't have any answers to getting more followers...I'm a newbie blogger so I'm interested in the answer to that question too. But I agree with Marsha...you can have 1000 followers but they don't necessarily comment or read your posts. I get about 80-100 visits a day, and many comments come from those who are new to my blog.

I think at the end of the day, as long as you enjoy what you're doing, your passion will be noticed, and people will follow.

    Cheers!

  7. Hi Sandy!
I came over for a chat *winks*
I agree totally with Marty. (Not that I have very many followers *winks*) But it helps to hook up with some popular parties, and check your stats to see which of your posts people are responding to most, and try to do some more similar ones. JMHO. But I'm loving your blog! So you have a new follower in me Vanna
