New minis for Sweet Pea and Clover

Sharing my latest minis...OMG are they ever cute.

I'm following along in the footsteps of my fellow Mini Bloggers scooping up treasured items that I can't live without, which by the way, are making Sweet Pea and Clover even cuter than before.
All MUST HAVES!

I know, you are all probably getting sick of me showing this same old room, over and over and over again.
I'm thinking maybe I should move on, or at least finish the outside so I can share it.

I have the same problem as most of us Mini people...we want to decorate BEFORE the house or room is finished.

So, with that said.... have another gander at it.

The towel, mitt and apron arrived in yesterdays mail... sheer perfection! Quality, quality quality!

A MUST HAVE for every mini kitchen...thanks ladies! Love, love, love 'em!

Peeking around the corner sits the blue tea cart...once was gold...but, I had my way with it and sprayed it this beautiful blue.
 Fits in like a dream.

The space above the comfy pink chair was too sparse, needed filling...what better way than with another cupboard with fabric inserted  on the front panels.
Fabrics are so important...texture!

Addressing the little loft space...it needed "more"....
The wagon will work....think it fits in just right.
Also, the plates are new... heavenly, will be adding more of them...such quality !

Plates...plates....and MORE plates....
I can see this being a collection problem!

I'm having a love affair with Sweet Pea and Clover....but, I promise... I'll move on!

Hope you're enjoying watching this little room/house come together, as much as I'm enjoying creating it.

To my new followers....
Thanks so much for jumping aboard...I so enjoy meeting, greeting and getting to each and everyone of you.

Have a fun filled mini making weekend.

Mini Kitchen Yumminess!

I've been so smitten with all the baking that goes on in the Mini kitchens, I had to start collecting some of the darling items for Sweet Pea and Clover.

How cute are these?

Looks like someone is in there whipping up some yummy goodies, doesn't it?

I got the covered cake plate, pinky wink bowls, measuring spoons, rolling pin and cookie sheets.

Have a biscuit if you like...you'll find the jams on the table.
Or, how about a sliver of cake?

Can't wait to receive a couple other kitchen minis I had to have, hope they come soon!

So excited!

Have a lovely weekend!

Sweet Pea and Clover mini kitchen

I want to thank all my new followers for visiting me and leaving such heartfelt comments and sweetness.  I love hearing from all of you!

Today I got the brilliant (okay, I think it's brilliant) idea to make little valance boxes for the windows...adding more pink and giving the kitchen more texture and detail.
Happy Dance as always....

Pleased as punch, I am!

Speaking of punch....have a little cup, it's sitting on the hutch across the room.  Sip as you peruse the newest additions to Sweet Pea and Clover.

If you like, there is and abundance of food for the taking....no one goes hungry in MY kitchen....help yourselves...it's YUMMY!

Have a slice of chocolate cake, if you like too.

I've had this little brown basket for ever....well, it was brown until I got a hold of the paint brush and gave it a quick white wash....much more Shabby Chic, don't you think?  Perfect for the silverware.

The little chair needed a sweet little skirt....done!

A back splash seemed needed to give this area a bit more interest.... silver paper seemed the answer.

So, I added the cute little valances...painted the basket for silverware.... a back splash...a skirt for the chair.....and tried to pull the entire kitchen together for a photo shoot.
Hope you enjoyed....

It's such a pleasure sharing all my decorating, creating and mini making with all my blog friends.

Hope it inspires you to create....
as you have all inspired me so much.

Thank you all!

Mini Sweet Pea and Clover update

I've sat with my head in this little dollhouse for the last couple days.... working away!

Today, I'm only showing the kitchen side.
 Gotta keep the suspense happening.

Originally, pink was my choice...but, this blue wallpaper just called my name, it jumped off the shelf and into my hand.

Sweet Pea and Clover is taking on it's own personality.

I'm very happy with how it's turning out, but....as we all know, there are always things that don't work out....or we have to change.
The curtains are giving me a challenge, still not what I want, problem is.... I don't know what that is.
The doily will stay for now!
I didn't have enough of either floor, so..... I did a half and half kinda look, thinking it's pretty sweet!

Ready?

I'm searching for a few more shabby chic accessories, so necessary (new minis are always necessary, aren't they?) to get the look I want.

More PINKY WINK... is a must!

Hope you've had fun!

Sweet Pea & Clover

Today *Sweet Pea & Clover* got it's first coat of paint and then a few decorator pieces added to figure out what the "look" will be.
OMG, I hope the furniture isn't sticking to the floor because I put it in before the paint was dry.
I do dumb things like that!

She's a kitchen/dining area....

It's going to be my only kitchen, I mean come on, how many kitchens do you need?

I keep moving things around from house to house trying to figure out "what's going on"..... I'm thinking I'm finally getting the picture.

I finally know this is how it's going to be "for now".  See, I really don't know.  Moving and changing is my *MO* in the little world and the big world.

I'm looking forward to gathering all my kitchen minis, new goodies, that I'm sure I'll make and buy to complete the look.

Here's the outside front... not much yet...still thinking!

Inside....no, the stove won't live up in that storage area.  I don't know what will be up there, must think!

Painted the entire inside and out white..
.not sure how I'm going to decorate, I figured if I gave it a coat of white paint, that would take me some direction.
Maybe Shabby Chic????

The floor is getting a faux finish...maybe a tile look????  Who knows!
Depends on my mood the day I do that project.

This of course is the eating area.... pull up a chair and park your butt!
Let's EAT!

This is my favorite part of the kitchen, so far.... I'm just in love with the hutch look against the wall paper......SWOON!

There will be upper cabinets....duh!  And, lot's more accessories.
Wait till you see how cute the pot rack is going to look with the copper pots and pans..... too cute.

Yes, I stole them from the other kitchen, I did......

Remember, I'm only going to have one kitchen in my mini world..... the last kitchen I made will be converted to a child's room....someday!!!

I'm trying to make sense of my dollhouses.... I was spreading things to thin... this way I'll have all my favorites in one room.

Much better idea!

I'm so smitten with this wallpaper....the blue and pink makes my heart sing.

I have other wallpapers that I want to incorporate into the cabinets.... more work!

The little "chandy" turned out so sweet...more pink and blue.  It doesn't light up... but, it lights up my mini world just looking at it.
Awwwwwwww

It's just a start.... there is so much more to design and complete, but so far, I'm a happy girl.
It's turning out just as I hoped it would.

So far..... So good!

Hope you enjoyed the tour of my latest creation....
keep watching.....
there is so much more to come!

Have a lovely week.

A camera bag for Paris!

It's been awhile since I've posted...time flies when life is in charge, doesn't it?

No minis today....
all about camera bags.

We are going to Paris in a couple of months and my camera situation is not up to par!

With that said, I decided to make my own...design it like *I* want it....all because I couldn't find anything that would suit my fancy.

I've carted my big black Nikon, in a non-case situation, for way too long.

The bags are either too big, too bulky, wrong color, wrong fabric....well, you get the picture.

My daughter dug threw her old purses and voila.... she had one that I could dismantle....deconstruct... cut up...and, throw away if it didn't work.

Dummy here didn't take any pictures of the procedure.. didn't think I would be sharing, but..............it turned out so darn cute that I thought "I have a new post".

It's not finished, still needs it's innards designed and some sewing done on the outside and strap.

I am so excited at how it's turning out, I just had to share before finishing.

I say: this is a...re purpose, reuse, recycle, smart looking, fashion forward camera bag.
It sure beats that big old ugly black manly thing, doesn't it?
Tiny, girly and oh so chic!
Yet, comfy, cozy and well worn!

It can be a cross over, a shoulder holder or a hand held bag.

I don't think there is anything worse than dragging a big camera around on vacation... this is filling the bill.

Happy Dance.

The top opens up as wide as the bottom so it slides in like a dream. Plus, this outside pocket will hold any little (light) items I might need.

Wish I had a before picture, it's about half the size it was originally.

All the little straps and buckles...perfectly perfect.

I think I'll fit right into the Paris scene, don't you?

Beats having that big camera hanging around my neck looking like a tourist.  hehehe

EVERYONE HAVE A WONDERFUL LOVE FILLED FATHERS DAY!

Mini Storybook REDO....oh no!

Call me crazy...or not....but, I HAD to redo Storybook!

I have trouble with colors...bright colors, as pretty as they are, they can make me nervous.

I tried so hard to keep it colorful and cheery...but, I need calm and serene.

I tried to live with the sweetness of Storybook  but, my thoughts just kept saying ..redo...redo...redo!

So, I painted out all the colors to soft white...
whew...much better!

And, painted all the little minis that stood still...
that would be most of them.

All I could think about was French, French, French!

Here is my take on a French country cottage for Storybook.

Oh yeah, there is still way more to do, but at last she found her way home.

The floors got whitewashed too!

I have a collection of vintage postcards...they make perfect mini pictures with their sepia/black and white tones.

When I first built Storybook, I put a window on each wall....WRONG!  Too many windows, couldn't put in a fireplace or any tall furniture.  Lesson learned!!

I covered the window up from the inside, but it still looks like there is a window in place from the outside.
Now, I could add a fireplace.

New lace curtains giving the room softness...

Pillows, needs MORE pillows.  Boy, am I glad I didn't make all my squishy salt pillows in bright colors...
And, books...it needs lots and lots of books...

Care for a cup of tea?

Doesn't every house need a banner?

Bucket of papers.

A little wall hanging made from scrapbook paper, matches the banner.

More greenery....

and....
the roof is finished!
There is no chimney, we must pretend.

Storybook sitting in her new room!

The color scheme of Storybook, now fits into the color scheme of the room.

Much better, really!

Hope you've enjoyed watching this cute little cottage come to life (and it's redo)
...always more too think up, more too make, more too share...

I'm gonna make a little kitchen cottage next.....
stay tuned!
