HO HO HO He's a jolly old soul!

My Santa's are out of their boxes and so proudly displayed.  These are a few of the Santa's I've made over the years....labors of love.
The one dressed in the black, navy and green fabric is made from my Fathers old bathrobe.  My Mother made him the robe back in the 50's (do we want to talk vintage?) and he wore it up until the day he passed in 2002 at 92!  WOW...can you believe it held up to the wear and tear?   Guess he didn't wear it everyday.......
I treasured the fabric and wanted to make something that would be around for years to come...so, I chose a Santa!
I didn't make the heads on any of them, just the bodies and clothing.   I just adore looking at them and remembering when???????
The one dressed in the checked wool fabric is one of my husbands old sport coats!  I like to recycle...huh?
The other two are just fabrics that were hanging around and I thought would be a nice addition to my collection.  Burgandy little man was my first...
Back to decorating..... do I see the light at the end of the tunnel?   YEP!

  1. Hi Sandy,
Your Santas are beautiful. I love the one made with your Father's bathrobe. I tease my husband all the time about his. He has been wearing the same robe for over 15 years now and
it's getting a little raggy, but he cherish's it! LOL.
    Beautiful Santas.

    hugs

  2. Hi Sandy,

Wow, those Santa's are amazing, you did a wonderful job on their clothing. By the way, when you are in the image selection/edit portion of your post, you can click on the image you want to remove and it will be highlighted and have choices underneath of which one of them is "remove." I hope you understand that. So you can go in even now to edit your post and click on the unwanted images for the removal choice. If you still don't understand, email me at meriw@cox.net and I'll give you my phone number and we can chat.

    Hugs,
    Meri
