A camera bag for Paris!

It's been awhile since I've posted...time flies when life is in charge, doesn't it?

No minis today....
all about camera bags.

We are going to Paris in a couple of months and my camera situation is not up to par!

With that said, I decided to make my own...design it like *I* want it....all because I couldn't find anything that would suit my fancy.

I've carted my big black Nikon, in a non-case situation, for way too long.

The bags are either too big, too bulky, wrong color, wrong fabric....well, you get the picture.

My daughter dug threw her old purses and voila.... she had one that I could dismantle....deconstruct... cut up...and, throw away if it didn't work.

Dummy here didn't take any pictures of the procedure.. didn't think I would be sharing, but..............it turned out so darn cute that I thought "I have a new post".

It's not finished, still needs it's innards designed and some sewing done on the outside and strap.

I am so excited at how it's turning out, I just had to share before finishing.

I say: this is a...re purpose, reuse, recycle, smart looking, fashion forward camera bag.
It sure beats that big old ugly black manly thing, doesn't it?
Tiny, girly and oh so chic!
Yet, comfy, cozy and well worn!

It can be a cross over, a shoulder holder or a hand held bag.

I don't think there is anything worse than dragging a big camera around on vacation... this is filling the bill.

Happy Dance.

The top opens up as wide as the bottom so it slides in like a dream. Plus, this outside pocket will hold any little (light) items I might need.

Wish I had a before picture, it's about half the size it was originally.

All the little straps and buckles...perfectly perfect.

I think I'll fit right into the Paris scene, don't you?

Beats having that big camera hanging around my neck looking like a tourist.  hehehe

EVERYONE HAVE A WONDERFUL LOVE FILLED FATHERS DAY!

XOSO

  4. Ok Sandy, I had to come see you right away! I saw that you have fallen off the mini world (over at Carolines) and got so worried, lol But so glad to see that you by no means have lost your creativity. The camera bag is adorable, wish I could get my act together and make one, instead of the ugly black one I alway make my husband carry hehe. No worries your mini fairy will come back, we all need a break to gather ideas from time to time, like in Paris, Oh ya lucky girl. Wish you a wonderful trip!!
    Lotsa love & hugs.

    1. Thanks Jannet.... It's so lovely to hear from you and giving me a boost of encouragement. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in "life" I get sidetracked from doing the "little" things I love. Looking forward to the mini fairy....I think it will be soon!! Can't wait for Paris...omg, it's gonna be a life time trip. We travel every three years with a few couples, Italy, Spain, England, Portugal, and next is France.... so excited and so lucky. Thanks so much for stopping by. xoso Sandy

  5. Your camera bag is perfect for your trip. How creative you are. Thanks for visiting and following along on our trip to Paris, Provence and Tours. It was fantastic. You asked about my straw bag. I picked it up in Paris and it was perfect when we were in Provence. The only problem I had with it was traveling home on the plane. It was an awkward shape and was not easy to stow.

    1. Penny.... Thanks for visiting me and answering my questions. I'd thought the camera bag would be great since I hate lugging stuff around when out and about. But...then I started thinking maybe I needed something to put all those purchases I'm sure I'll be making and I hate even more shleping bags of things. When I saw your cute bag I thought that might be my answer. I want it to roll up and stow away (empty) in my carry-on.... gonna have to give this some thought. Thanks again... have a lovely week!
